Three films from Egypt, Estonia and Hungary have been picked to participate at the 37th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) in Iran.
The Egyptian film ‘Yomeddine’ directed by Abu Bakr Shawky, Estonia’s flick ‘Take It or Leave It’ made by Liina Trishkina, and the Hungarian film ‘Sunset’ by Laszlo Nemes will participate in the event’s “Special Screenings – Best of Countries” section.
A total of 10 movies are set to be displayed in this section.
Earlier, ‘Woman at War’ from Iceland, ‘Cake’ from Pakistan, ‘The Guilty’ from Denmark, and ‘Graves Without a Name’ from Cambodia were selected to be featured in this section of the 37th FIFF.
Headed by Iranian filmmaker Reza Mirkarimi, the 37th FIFF will be held in the capital, Tehran, on April 18-26, 2019.
A national version of the festival kicked off on January 30 and wrapped up on February 11.
Since its establishment in 1982, the festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
